Kathryn Hobbs, MPT, NCPT

Co-owner of Healthy U

 Kathy has been a Physical Therapist for 23 years and specializes in Pelvic Health PT, Pilates and Yoga for rehabilitation and Fitness. Kathy is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher. Kathy is currently working towards her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Certification. Kathy sees Patients 1:1 and  teaches group Pilates classes and 1:1 Pilates and Yoga sessions. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 1999 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Kathy is the mother of 3 children, and the wife of Randy Hobbs, PT, co owner of Healthy U. She also enjoys running, practicing Yoga and Pilates, learning new information, reading and being out in nature. Kathy feels grateful for her opportunity to share her passion for Pelvic Health PT Pilates and Yoga.



Randall Hobbs, PT

Randy has been a Physical Therapist for 27 years. He received his degree in Physical Therapy from California State University Long Beach. Randy has extensive training  in the area of Manual Therapy. His skill set is unique in that his intuitive understanding of the human body enables him to help people in ways that others may not. Randy is dedicated to providing a holistic approach to helping others. He studies health and wellness and offers a therapy session that addresses the whole person. Randy has taken over 30 continuing education courses.  He is a talented Physical Therapist and approaches each problem and person as a unique opportunity to see something different. Randy has been throught 2 comprehensive Pilates trainings. Randy is Married to Kathy Hobbs, PT and co-owner of Healthy U. Together they are raising three children and enjoy their time at home as well as at work.  Randy enjoys Mountain Biking, hiking and golf in his free time. Randy has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1993, demonstrating his dedication to the profession of Physical Therapy.

Scott Deadmond, MPT

 

Scott graduated from Humboldt State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology. He then attended the University of Puget Sound where he received his Master's of Physical Therapy in 1993. Scott has been practicing PT in the Chico area for 28 years and his specialties include manual therapy, strain/counter strain, muscle energy, TMJ dysfunction, and Orthopedic/spine rehab. As a Physical Therapist, Scott believes in hands-on treatment and implementation of a comprehensive exercise program. Scott’s passion, focus, and dedication guide each therapy session. He enjoys backpacking, fly
fishing, football (Go Niners!) and spending time with his family

Nylah Hazard, PT, DPT

 

Nylah graduated from UCSF/SFSU with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2018 and completed the year-long Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2020. She has 9 years of experience as a massage therapist and is grateful for the additional skill set as a physical therapist to assist you in making lasting changes in your body and movement experience. Nylah tailors each plan of care to your goals; incorporating manual therapy, movement and balance training, and pain neuroscience education as needed. She lives with her husband, David, in Chico and enjoys hiking and backpacking in the beautiful California wilderness.

Janice Erven, PTA

Autumn Gillen, PTA

 

Autumn has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 10 years now. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne Indiana. She began her career in Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy, for a locally owned clinic in Indianapolis, Indiana. She then went on to work as a contract PTA, where she worked in various clinical settings in Texas, Pennsylvania, and California. Since moving to California, Autumn found a love for the outdoors and since has settled into northern California and calls it home. She has taken Kathy’s Pilates Teacher Training Program and is currently studying for the National Certification Exam, as well as teaching Pilates classes during the week. Autumn is also enrolled in Pelvic Health courses with the American Physical Therapy Association to assist Kathy in serving the Pelvic Health
population of our community. Autumn is an adventurer, and spends her free time hiking, camping, being in the outdoors, doing yoga, taking long walks, and traveling with her partner

Personal Trainers

Leslie Lawrence, Pilates Teacher and Personal Trainer

 

 Leslie has been a personal trainer and has worked in the fitness industry for 20+ years. She became interested in Pilates after her first child, when she realized that no other activity was giving her the same results. Leslie has been teaching Pilates over 15 classes for  years and currently teaches private and group Pilates classes. Leslie has completed multiple certifications through PHI in reformer, tower and mat training. She has taken Polestar Pilates Principles as well as Pilates training.



Erin Tillmanns, NCPT

 

Growing up, Erin had a passion for sports and fitness, when back problems began to interfere with what she loved to do, Erin turned to Pilates to strengthen her body in a more gentle way. Pilates has given her better body awareness, improved posture, stability and body alignment.  Erin has been practicing Pilates since 2004 and began studying and training to teach in                      February 2009. Erin is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher.
